Ceramides: consist of fatty acids liked with their chain, through an amide bond, to a sphingosine. The ceramide 1 is the most important one, and takes part of the stratum corneum. They are the most important class of lipid which constitutes the skin epidermal barrier. There are 9 classes, different for both the nature of the sphingosine and for the fatty acid chain.
Liquid Crystals: release in depth the active ingredients, prolonging the effect over time, optimize rehydrating power, decreasing the TEWL.
Panthenol: applied topically, is absorbed by the skin and converted into panthenoic acid, or pro-vitamin B5, which is a constituent of coenzyme A, which is essential in cell metabolism.
Blackcurrant Seed Oil: Contains Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA, Omega 6) important to control skin hypersensitivity; Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) useful to restore the skin barrier; Stearidonic acid (Omega 3) adjuvant in countering the inflammatory processes.
18 Beta-Glycyrrhetic Acid: important to accelerate skin repair processes.
Octopirox: is an active principle with antiseptic broad spectrum action, characterized by a Minimum Effective Concentration of 63 micro-grams/ml for bacteria, to 1 microgram/ml for fungi and of 8 micrograms/ml for yeasts or microorganisms yeast-like. Its affinity for keratin makes it the product of choice for the skin area.
Vitamin E: useful to counteract the formation of free radicals and protect cells.
Menthol: useful for a quick refreshing action which is prolonged up to 60-70 minutes after application.
This new formulation for topical use containing ceramides, essential fatty acids and 18 β-glycyrrhetinic Acid is particularly effective in the treatment of the clinical signs related to irritation, to restore the integrity of the skin when it lowered its defenses
In allergic, irritant, topically localized forms which, in the presence of fungi and bacteria, cause the skin lesions.
Particularly suitable for the horse’s legs when they are affected by external factors, as primary or secondary causes, which compromise the integrity of their skin
To counteract the itching and secondary microbial complications.
As adjuvant to prevent and/or limit the self reported complications.
The innovative formulation has been designed specifically to treat topically the irritated skin of the horse, bringing instant relief.
Easy to apply on irritated areas, thanks to the dispenser spray. Restores the proper level of skin hydration thanks to its liquid crystals, compatible with lipids of the stratum corneum.
